I started this blog to have a place to share my photos and ponderings while studying abroad in Rwanda this summer. But I'll also share my blog posts for UrbanFaith and other interesting stories I want to hear your thoughts on.
The name Pondering Peace is inspired by peace studies classes at Mizzou, including my summer peace studies class: Studying the Genocide in Rwanda. I define peace studies (a branch of sociology) as the practice of questioning, listening to others and thinking critically about human rights issues in order to find solutions.
